TC Wings Now Released: The Universal Build-Your-Own Rear Wing

TC Wings are officially here. Our new Universal TC Wing (Build Your Own) brings the same CFD-optimized airfoil we developed for vehicle-specific applications to any car, any mount — just measure and drill to the width you need.

Built for Club Racing and Time Attack

This wing is dialed in for cars running under 300 WHP and under 140 mph — the range where this particular airfoil is genuinely the most efficient choice, not just an off-the-shelf compromise. Sizing follows WTCC and GLTC ruleset conventions, with a 10.5" chord length.

The Numbers

  • 9.0–9.2 L/D ratio across 0°–5° angle of attack, holding steady from 80–160 mph
  • Stays usable out to 15° AoA (6.0 L/D) for setups chasing more downforce at the cost of drag
  • Extruded, UV-stabilized nylon composite in a smooth black finish that won't chalk, fade, or corrode
  • Just 2.5 kg per meter of span — 6.5 lb for the 46.5" wing, 9.3 lb for the 66.5"
  • Drills and rivets cleanly with no welding required, and can be re-drilled for multiple applications

Engineered, Not Eyeballed

Every dimension is backed by FEA and CFD analysis, not guesswork:

  • 15mm calculated trailing-edge deflection at 130 mph / 10° AoA on a 1700mm reference span, mounted at the edge — the structural worst case. Mounts placed further inward will perform better than this figure.
  • Minimum factor of safety of 5.88 at 10° AoA / 140 mph, even on the weight-reduced structure
  • Estimated fatigue life in the mid-to-high 10⁵ full load cycles before onset
  • Reinforced nylon composite with an elastic modulus of 8.0–10.5 GPa and tensile strength of 180–210 MPa

Build Notes

This is a raw wing DIY kit — uprights and bases are not included, so you'll need to fabricate or source your own mounting solution. Our FEA modeling assumes the wing is rigidly fixed at the endplates, so for the best results your custom mount should provide comparably rigid end support. This is a track/racing component: it hasn't been tested beyond the 300 WHP / 140 mph design range, and the user assumes all liability and responsibility for conformance with their racing series' rules.
