TC Wing - Toyota MR2 Spyder ZZW30
Complete TC Wing Kit — Toyota MR2 Spyder (ZZW30, 2000–2005)
The Toyota MR2 Spyder TC Wing is a complete swan-mount wing kit for the ZZW30 chassis — TC wing element, endplates, mounting cradles, and the chassis-specific bases and uprights, all in one part number.
Inspired by FIA GT4 classes of vehicles, the swan-mount arrangement blends moderate downforce with a purposeful stance, and the uprights are matched to the chassis so the wing mounts without fabrication guesswork.
Important Order Info
Currently offered in a 47.5" span, swan mount configuration only.
Made to order — please allow 5–7 weeks for us to make and assemble the vehicle-specific portions of the kit.
Key Features
- Direct-fit for the Toyota MR2 Spyder (ZZW30, 2000–2005) — bases and uprights designed around this chassis's mounting geometry.
- Swan mount, chassis mounted — mounts to the rear radiator support bars underneath the hood, not to the deck lid skin.
- 3 adjustable AOA positions, 0°–12° — tune the balance at the track without swapping hardware.
- Complete kit — CFD-optimized 10.5" chord TC wing element in a 47.5" span, endplates, mounting cradles, bases, and uprights.
- CFD-optimized low-drag airfoil — 9.0–9.2 L/D across 0°–5° angle of attack, holding steady from 80–160 mph. Usable out to 15° AoA (6.0 L/D) when you want more downforce at the cost of drag.
- Extruded nylon composite, UV-stabilized — smooth black finish that won't chalk, fade, or corrode.
- Engineered, not eyeballed — FEA-verified deflection and stress, CFD-verified aero.
- Part of the WTCC & GLTC-oriented TC Wings lineup — sized to keep the kit within spec-class aero constraints.
What's Included
- ✅ TC wing element, 10.5" chord × 47.5" span — threaded on the ends
- ✅ 2x endplates with Epsilon+ screen printed logos, plus countersink washers and bolts
- ✅ 2x wing mounting cradles
- ✅ MR2 Spyder-specific swan uprights and bases
- ✅ Rivets, nutplates, and mounting hardware
- Only need the airfoil itself? The Universal TC Wing is sold separately.
Backed by Real Engineering
- Structural margin: minimum factor of safety of 5.88 at 10° AoA / 140 mph.
- Deflection: 15 mm calculated trailing-edge deflection at 130 mph / 10° AoA on the reference 1700 mm span, mounted at the very edge — the structural worst case. A swan mount set inboard of the tips will do better than this number.
- Fatigue life: estimated mid-to-high 10⁵ full load cycles before fatigue onset.
- Material: reinforced nylon composite, elastic modulus 8.0–10.5 GPa, tensile strength 180–210 MPa.
- CFD-verified flow: streamline and vorticity analysis shows clean, attached flow and a thin, stable wake across the design AoA range.
Installation
- Holes will need to be drilled into the rear radiator support bars, and the trunk will need to be slotted to mount this.
- No welding required — the kit drills and rivets cleanly.
TC Rules Disclaimer
TC RULES DISCLAIMER: The 47.5" wing is 10.5" × 47.5" = 498.75 sq in, very close to the Gridlife Touring Cup and ClubTR medium limit of 499 sq in. Small variations in cutting and manufacturing matter, so measure your wing and confirm with your series that it is legal before running it.
